The Mid-South is an informally-defined region in the United States, usually thought to be anchored by the Memphis metropolitan area and consisting of West Tennessee, North Mississippi, the Missouri Bootheel, Western Kentucky, Central and Northeast Arkansas, and Northwest Alabama.
