Nana (2005 film)

Nana (ナナ) is a 2005 Japanese drama film directed by Kentarō Ōtani. A live action adaptation of the manga of the same name by Ai Yazawa, the film stars Mika Nakashima as the punk star Nana Osaki, and Aoi Miyazaki as Hachi (Nana Komatsu). The film was released on September 3, 2005. The film was followed by a 2006 sequel, Nana 2, in which Nakashima reprised her role as the title character. Some of the original cast, including Miyazaki and Ryuhei Matsuda, did not reprise their roles in Nana 2.
