New English Bible
The New English Bible (NEB) is a translation of the Bible into modern English directly from the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts (and from Latin for 2 Esdras in the Apocrypha). The New Testament was published in 1961. The Old Testament (along with the Apocrypha) was published in 1970. In 1989, it was significantly revised and republished as the Revised English Bible.
