OPTi Inc. was a semiconductor vendor that sold chipsets for the personal computer markets. The company was founded in 1989 and was based in Milpitas, California. During the early 1990s, OPTiwas one of the major producers of core logic chipsets as well as audio controllers that accompanied IA-32 processors on PC motherboards.
