The Occitano-Romance or Gallo-Narbonnese (Catalan: llengües occitanoromàniques, Occitan: lengas occitanoromanicas) is a controversial branch of a Romance language group that encompasses the known Occitan language, the Catalan language, and the now extinct Navarro-Aragonese (original form of Aragonese). Because of fringe evidence, many linguists and nationalists debate whether it even actually exists.
