Pakistan Medical and Dental Council

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (abbreviated as PMDC), established in 1962, is a regulatory authority for practitioners and students of medicine and dentistry in Pakistan. It was established under Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Ordinance 1962 as a body corporate. It is a long-standing member of the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA). It is responsible for developing of National Curriculum of MBBS & BDS and Postgraduate studies in collaboration with Higher Education Commission. It is recognised by the General Medical Council, while its quality standards are equivalent to those demanded by National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation
