Pelias Bluff

Pelias Bluff (66°4′S 61°23′W / 66.067°S 61.383°W) is a conspicuous rock bluff rising to more than 150 m at the head of the inlet lying immediately west of Standring Inlet, on the north coast of Jason Peninsula in Graham Land. Surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1953. Named in 1956 by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in association with Jason Peninsula; Pelias, who was his uncle, deprived Jason of his kingdom but was later killed through the agency of Medea. .
