Philippine Basketball Association Most Valuable Player award

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) awards the Most Valuable Player award (MVP) at the end of the season. The winner is selected via votes from the press, players, coaches and top PBA officials. Starting at 2004, instead of having a yearlong season (February to December, with a month's break in-between conferences), the season was reformatted so that there would be two conferences (tournaments) from October to June-July. Starting in the 2010-11 PBA season, the season will still be from October to July, but with three conferences.
