Plants+HC+SAR megagroup

Plants+HC+SAR megagroup is a group of eukaryotes proposed by Burki et al. (2008). It includes: * Plants * Hacrobia (the "HC" refers to Haptophyta and Cryptophyta, the two major members of this group) * SAR supergroup This description includes all Bikonts that are not excavates. It is also referred to as Diaphoretickes or the SAR/HA Supergroup. It is not to be confused with Corticata, which was part of a different classification scheme that excluded Rhizaria from the SAR supergroup. It includes most of the species engaging in photosynthesis, except for the Euglenozoa and Cyanobacteria.
