It inhabits wide variety of grasslands and woodlands. In Armenia occurs from 1200 to 2000 m a.s.l. The known larval host plants of the species in Turkey is Hippocrepis comosa, in Caucasus - Coronilla varia.The species has not been assessed for IUCN Red List. In Armenia during 2003-2013 it demonstrates increasing population trend.
