The Priory Hospital, Roehampton, often referred to by the media and others simply as The Priory, is a mental health hospital in South West London with an international reputation and best known for the treatment of celebrities with various addictions. Located in South West London, the hospital has been described as the British equivalent of the Betty Ford Clinic in terms of its popular image. The Priory was founded in 1872 and is now part of the Priory Group, which was acquired in 2011 by an American private equity firm, Advent International.
