Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie is the ninth overall Naruto film and sixth Naruto Shippūden film written by Masashi Kishimoto and was released in Japan on July 28, 2012. The film follows a different storyline that Naruto and Sakura end up in an alternate reality in a test version of Project Tsuki no Me, where Naruto's parents survive and many characters have different personalities. The band Asian Kung-Fu Generation performs the film's theme song "Sore de wa, Mata Ashita" (それでは、また明日, lit. "Well Then, See You Tomorrow"). Both the single CD and the film's original soundtrack were released on July 25, 2012. The first 1.5 million film was given for Motion Comic: Naruto, a DVD that shows scenes by Kishimoto.
