SMU School of Accountancy (SOA) is one of the six schools at Singapore Management University (SMU). It was established in 2001, with a cohort of 100 Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) students and eight faculty members. In 2010, the School of Accountancy Research Centre (SOAR) was established to carry out research in areas such as corporate governance, auditing and accounting information and corporate reporting. Two faculty members were recognized by the 2015 Innovation in Accounting Education Award from the American Accounting Association (AAA)
