St. Francis Pro-Cathedral, Tripoli

The St. Francis Pro-Cathedral or simply Church of St. Francis, is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the town of Tripoli, capital of the African country of Libya. The temple follows the Roman or Latin rite serves as a parish church and the pro-cathedral or temporary cathedral of the Apostolic Vicariate of Tripoli (Vicariatus Apostolicus Tripolitanus) which was created in 1630 by Pope Urban VIII.
