The parish was formed from the parishes of St. Stephen's Church, Sneinton, and St. Matthias' Church, Nottingham. It was declared redundant by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in 2003 and sold, and is now used as a Parish of the Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainians, dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Alban.
