The school is also known as St Olave's, St Olave's Grammar School, STOGS or simply Olave's. The school is consistently one of the top achieving state schools in the UK. It was The Sunday Times State School of the Year in 2008 and in 2011 was ranked as the fourth best performing state school in the country at A-level by the Financial Times.
