Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt

The Supreme Constitutional Court (Arabic: المحكمة الدستورية العليا‎‎, Al-Mahkamah al-Dustūrīyah al-‘Ulyā) (or SCC) is an independent judiciary body in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with its new seat in the Cairo suburb of Maadi. After Defence Minister Abdul Fatah al-Sisi announced the suspension of the Constitution of Egypt on 3 July 2013, executive power was vested in the Supreme Constitutional Court, and its President Adly Mansour was named acting President of Egypt.
