The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975) is an American motion picture released by Bing Crosby Productions, and Cinerama Releasing Corporation. Of the supernatural suspense genre, the film was directed by J. Lee Thompson, notable for directing The Guns of Navarone (1961) and Cape Fear (1962). Peter Proud is based upon a 1973 novel by Max Ehrlich, who wrote the screenplay. The film stars Michael Sarrazin in the title role, along with rising stars Margot Kidder of Superman, Jennifer O'Neill of Summer of '42, and Cornelia Sharpe, best known for her part in Serpico.
