Thotlakonda
Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex (17 15 N - 83 23 E) is situated on a hill near Bheemunipatnam town, about 15 km from Visakhapatnam, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The hill is about 128 metres above mean sea level and overlooks the sea. The Telugu name Thotlakonda derived from the presence of a number of a rock-cut throughs hewn in the bedrock of the hillock (cisterns).
