Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly

The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly also known as the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha, (Hindi: उत्तराखण्ड विधानसभा) is a unicameral governing and law making body of Uttarakhand, one of the 29 States in India, and is situated at Dehradun, the state capital of Uttarakhand, with 71 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Leader of the House is Harish Rawat. The Speaker of assembly is Govind Singh Kunjwal. Krishan Kant Paul is the Governor of Uttarakhand. From 27th March 2016 to 12th May 2016, Uttarakhand was under President's Rule.
