"Valoa ikkunassa" ("Light in the window") was the debut Finnish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, performed in Finnish by Laila Kinnunen at the 1961 Contest. The song was performed fourth on the night, following Austria's Jimmy Makulis with "Sehnsucht" and preceding Yugoslavia's Ljiljana Petrović with "Neke davne zvezde". At the close of voting, it had received 6 points, placing 10th in a field of 16. It was succeeded as Finnish representative at the 1962 Contest by Marion Rung with "Tipi-tii".
