Walid Elsawi(بالعربية: وليد الصاوي), he's an Egyptian Visual Artist, born in the 1st of January, 1987. Elsawi's main concern is the self-portrait and the notion of the split identity and how to mirror himself through art, also, his work uses text, animation and video to discuss themes such as the position of the artist in relation to art market dynamics, his texts and animations are often first and second-degree humorous and involve "dark" explorations of artists’ statements, personal confessions, philosophical maxims and recognizable tropes.
