Wushu at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games took place in the Emilio Aguinaldo College Gymnasium, in Ermita, Manila, Philippines. The event was held from November 28–30. Wushu (simplified Chinese: 武术; traditional Chinese: 武術; pinyin: wǔshù) literally means "martial art". It is a more precise term than the widely used term kung fu, which can mean either martial art or "skill": a craftsman or artisan could be said to have good "kung fu" in the way in which they carry out their craft; in the same way, a wushu practitioner can also be said to have good "kung fu" in their wushu practice.
