YO Bykes are manufactured by Electrotherm at a 288,000 annual capacity factory in Kutch District of Gujarat, India. Electrotherm India Limited is a leading engineering conglomerate based in Gujarat. YObykes is a brainchild of Mukesh Bhandari, the Chairman and CTO of Electrotherm. YObykes is a brand name under which, electric automobiles are designed and manufactured by the Automotive Division of Electrotherm. In 2004, the company started its R&D operations for developing the electric vehicles and after two years, it launched its first series of electric scooters in India. YObykes was the first company to introduce electric two-wheelers in India in 2006.
