Yagoona, a suburb of local government area Canterbury-Bankstown Council, is located 20 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is a part of the South-western Sydney region. Yagoona is an Aboriginal word meaning 'now' or 'today'. Yagoona was site of the first McDonald's restaurant to open in Australia in 1971.
