1902 SAFA Grand Final

The 1902 SAFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football competition. North Adelaide beat South Adelaide 68 to 31. Background. During the 1902 season Port Adelaide finished the minor round on the top of the SAFA league ladder. Port Adelaide however disputed the use of umpire Mr Kneebone for the first finals game against South Adelaide as he was not credited at the beginning of the season and the club were suspicious of biased umpiring. Subsequently, Port Adelaide abandoned the match in protest & thereby forfeited themselves out of finals contention.
