It was held to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The election was called on September 13, 1933, and held on November 2, 1933. The new legislature met for the first time on February 20, 1934. The Liberal Party won a majority government. The Official Opposition was formed by the social democratic Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, which was contesting its first election.
