The 1959–60 Yorkshire Cup was the fifty-second occasion on which the Yorkshire Cup competition had been held. For the first time in fourteen years a new name appears on the Yorkshire Cup. Featherstone Rovers who previously won the trophy in the Spring 1940 Wartime competition can now lay claim to a genuine trophy (The wartime competitions were not counted officially in the records)Featherstone Rovers won the trophy by beating Hull F.C. by the score of 15-14 The match was played at Headingley, Leeds, now in West Yorkshire. The attendance was 23,983 and receipts were £4156
