Parliamentary elections were held in Mali on 1 July 2007 and 22 July. In the first round, there were about 1,400 candidates for 147 seats in the National Assembly. The elections followed the April 2007 presidential elections, in which President Amadou Toumani Touré won a second term with 71% of the vote.
