They were managed by Ron Gardenhire and played their home games in the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Twins finished the season with a 79-83 record, their first losing record since 2000. On September 13, Twins general manager Terry Ryan resigned. He was replaced by Assistant General Manager Bill Smith.
