2010 Brazilian presidential election

The Brazilian presidential election was held in 2010 with two rounds of balloting. The election determined the successor to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, known as Lula, of the left-wing Workers' Party, who was constitutionally ineligible to run for a third term as he has already served two terms after winning the elections in 2002 and being re-elected in 2006.
