2014 European Parliament election in the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic component of the 2014 European Parliament election was held on 23 and 24 May 2014. In total, 21 Members of the European Parliament were elected using proportional representation (single district D'Hondt with a 5% threshold). ANO won the election closely followed by the coalition of TOP 09 and STAN, themselves closely followed by ČSSD. A total of 7 parties gained seats, including the non-parliamentary Party of Free Citizens. Election turnout was 18.2%, the second lowest of all participating countries after Slovakia.
