2019 Fingal County Council election

A Fingal County Council election was held in Fingal in Ireland on 24 May 2019 as part of that year's local elections. All 40 councillors were elected for a five-year term of office from 7 local electoral areas (LEAs) by single transferable vote. The election was also notable for the victory of Ireland'first Indian-born councillor, Punam Rane, who was elected as a Fine Gael candidate in the in Blanchardstown Mulhuddart LEA. The Green gains included a 20-year-old student: Daniel Whooley. elected in the Ongar LEA.
