27th Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps
The 27th Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps was an Open Class (now World Class) competitive junior drum and bugle corps. Based in Revere, Massachusetts, the 27th Lancers performed in Drum Corps International (DCI) competitions and were one of the founding members of DCI. The corps was a 11-time Top 12 Finalist at the DCI World Championships but went inactive after the 1986 season. They were invited to the 1980 Winter Olympics and played for the opening and closing of the Winter Olympics.
