AT&T Communications, LLC is a division of AT&T that focuses on mobile phone, broadband, fixed line telephone, home security, network security, and business services. The division houses AT&T Mobility, AT&T Internet, AT&T Phone, AT&T Labs, AT&T Digital Life, AT&T Cybersecurity, and DirecTV. In 2021, DirecTV will be spun off into an independent company in which AT&T will retain a 70% stake, while private equity firm TPG Capital will own 30%.
