The show is itself based on the characters created by DC Comics set in the Batman mythology. The episode was written by Tze Chun and directed by executive producer John Stephens. It was first broadcast on March 8, 2018. The episode received positive reviews with critics praising Taylor’s and Monaghan’s performances and chemistry as well as the Arkham storyline. However, the dream sequences received criticism.
