Activity schema

In computing, the activity schema is a schema for data warehouses that represents data in a time series structure. It is designed as a general-purpose alternative to dimensional modeling such as a star schema. It models actions (called activities) over time rather than facts and dimensions. It is based on the idea that most business data (such as orders, customer interactions, etc) can be expressed in the form of a customer performing an activity at a given time.
