Administrative divisions of Ukraine

Ukraine has several levels of administrative subdivisions. The first level of subdivision consists of 27 regions: * 24 oblasts * one autonomous republic * two cities with special status Following the 2014 Crimean crisis, Crimea and Sevastopol came under the de facto administration of the Russian Federation, which claims them as the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol. Internationally, most states have not recognised the Russian claims.
