Aghoghlan Gate

Aghoghlan Gate (Azerbaijani: Ağoğlan qapısı), also known as the Mukhtar Gate (Azerbaijani: Muxtar qapısı) or the Shushikend Gate (Azerbaijani: Şuşakənd qapısı), is one of the four entrance gates to the Shusha fortress in the homonymous city, also known to Armenians as Shushi. Local Armenian forces seized the gate, along with the rest of the city, during the capture of Shusha on May 8, 1992. However, on November 8, 2020, Azerbaijani forces recaptured the city after a 3-day long battle.
