Ahmed bin Muhammed Al Thani

Sheikh Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Thani (1853–1905) (Arabic: أحمد بن محمد بن ثاني) , second son of Mohammed bin Thani, the Governor of Doha in (1894-1898), Ruler of Qatar (1898-1905) and head of the Ahmed bin Muhammed Al Thani branch of the House of Thani, the ruling family of Qatar. He is also the younger brother of the founder of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Jasim bin Mohammed bin Thani. On the death of his cousin Ali Bin Jassim, he became the commander leader of Qatar clans coalitions against the Egyptian/Albanian Midhat Pasha army.
