Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international mutual aid fellowship, with the stated "primary purpose" of enabling members to be sober and help other alcoholics to do them same through its spiritually inclined Twelve Steps program. It is non-professional, non-denominational, self-supporting, and apolitical, with its sole requirement for membership being an avowed desire to stop drinking.
