Alexander Andries Maramis
Alexander Andries Maramis (20 June 1897 – 31 July 1977), also known as A. A. Maramis, was an Indonesian politician involved in the struggle for the independence of the country. He was a member of the Investigating Committee for Preparatory Work for Independence (BPUPK) that drafted the Constitution. In the early stages of the Indonesian government, he served as both Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He also served in several ambassadorships. Maramis was posthumously given the honorary title of National Hero of Indonesia in 2019.
