Alexey Chesnakov (born September 1, 1970, Baku, Azerbaijan SSR) is a Russian political scientist and director of the . He is the author of several publications dealing with the domestic and foreign policy of Russia. Chesnakov has also served as Deputy Head of internal policy for the AdministrationPresident of the Russian Federation (2001–2008), as a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation (2009–2010), and Deputy Secretary-General of the United Russia political party (2012–2013). Since 2019, Chesnakov has been a professor at the Higher School of Economics.
