Alon Korngreen
Alon Korngreen (Hebrew: אלון קורנגרין)(born 1967) is an Israeli biophysicist, who specializes in brain research. Professor at The Mina and Everard Goodman Faculty of life Sciences at Bar-Ilan University and since 2019 head of the Multidisciplinary Gonda Brain Research Center there. His main interest is in the computational capabilities of individual nerve cells in the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia. He also investigates the involvement of dopamine and endocannabinoids in nervous system modulation. Korngreen work is influencing the brain research for over a decade.
