Andrej Grubačić

Andrej Grubačić is a US-based Yugoslav world historian, Balkan federalist, and professor of anthropology who has written on autonomous zones and mutual aid in world history. He founded the department of Anthropology and Social Change at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He serves as editor of the Journal of World-Systems Research, an official journal of the American Sociological Association and published by the University Library System, University of Pittsburgh. He is the grandson of Ratomir Dugonjić, Yugoslav partisan leader and communist revolutionary. A theorist of contemporary anarchism, Grubačić was a prominent member of the antiglobalization or global justice movement.
