Anton Denikin

Anton Ivanovich Denikin (Russian: Анто́н Ива́нович Дени́кин) [ɐnˈton ɪˈvanəvʲɪtɕ dʲɪˈnʲikʲɪn]; 16 December [O.S. 4 December] 1872 – 8 August 1947) was a Russian Lieutenant General in the Imperial Russian Army (1916), later served as the Deputy Supreme Ruler of Russia during the Russian Civil War of 1917–1922. He was also a military leader of South Russia (as commander in chief).
