Arakan Army

The Arakan Army (Burmese: ရက္ခိုင့်တပ်တော်; abbreviated AA) is a Rakhine military organization in Myanmar (Burma) based in Kachin State and Rakhine State founded on 10 April 2009. It is the armed wing of the United League of Arakan (ULA), currently led by commander in chief Major General Twan Mrat Naing and vice deputy commander Brigadier General Nyo Twan Awng.
