Arcadia, Harare

Arcadia, is a small, historic working class suburb, southeast of central Harare and just south of the main railway line that divides the CBD and from its southern suburbs. Historically, the area along with nearby, Breaside, St Martins and Cranborne, was once home to thousands of Coloured Zimbabweans, who still maintain a plurality in the area, despite Zimbabwe's high emigration rate, the result of its economic crisis. The current neighborhood was the second mostly Coloured area developed in the city since the 1930s.
