Arla (file system)

Arla is an implementation of the AFS distributed file system developed at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Arla was started by in 1993. and Johan Danielsson joined the project shortly thereafter. The project died down before it was usable. In the fall of 1997, the project was restarted, starting with Björn's implementation of . Assar ported xfs (an arla component, not to be confused with the XFS filesystem) to FreeBSD. began working on it, followed by , working on the Linux kernel module, and , working on the OpenBSD kernel module.
