Art the Clown

Art the Clown is a fictional character in the Terrifier slasher franchise created by Damien Leone. Initially portrayed by Mike Giannelli, Art originates from short films. However, the character gained popularity when featured as the central antagonist in the anthology horror film All Hallows' Eve (2013). The feature-length Terrifier (2016) is a standalone film focusing solely on Art and his pursuit of heroine Victoria Heyes (Samantha Scaffidi). Giannelli, who had retired from acting before this film's conception, was replaced by actor David Howard Thornton. While the plot received criticism, Thornton's portrayal received critical acclaim, particularly his use of body language. Thornton reprises the role in Terrifier 2 (2021)
